Application failed to start – side-by-side configuration incorrect

IF you get this error message while opening a particular application or program in windows vitsa  “Application failed to start – side-by-side configuration incorrect” this error is saying that finding that special dll written for that application is not working somehow then just uninstall and reinstall that particular application.

Or if getting this error while you are trying to run most of applications including the Internet exlorer in that case

    You need to remove all the temporary files from

  1. TEMP Folder
  2. %temp% Folder
  3. Prefetch Folder
    Boot the computer in safemode, doctor then Run the command prompt as Administrator, pills start->programs->accessories->Command prompt->Right click on command prompt and select run as administrator .
    Type the command sfc /scannonw

This command repair the corrupted files of windows. This will take 10-15 minutes to complete the scan.

    Restart the computer
    Run the applications.

Note: If you get the message some files could not repair the you might have to perform the inplace upgrade of windows as some of the windows files got corrupt.

Bitlocker

Bitlocker Drive encryption if a feature in windows Vista enterprise and ultimate edition that protects data when a computer is in unauthorised hands or is running an exploiting operating system. Bitlocker prevents an unauthorised users from booting another OS or running software hacking tools, stomach it prevents unauthorized users from viewing the files or even from viewing the files that make up the OS system itself.It is a Hardware-based security feature.

Bitlocker use a hardware device TPM(Trusted platform Module 1.2) to protect user data and to ensure that a PC that is running Vista has not been tampered with while the system was offline. Basic feature of Bit locker locks the system when tampered and simplifies the recycling process.
